Burberry and Elite London Celebrate the Return of Great British Models: tFS Exclusive Pictorial

 With Christopher Bailey and Burberry leading the parade over the past years, the British fashion industry has seen a return to its days of world domination. Burberry not only exudes Britishness, it is a symbol of Great Britain in its own right. In the autumn of 2010, a handful of Elite London’s key girls from Great Britain descended upon London’s idyllic Fulham to pose for this exclusive English-themed portrait series. Featuring a selection of pieces from Burberry’s lines, Charlotte Benson, Emma MacTaggart, Hannah Hardy (above), Kate Howat, Olivia Dunn and Sadie Phelps merged with Burberry’s powerful English history, creating a manifestation of the new era of Great Britain’s magnificent model material, as discovered and represented by Elite London. While Burberry has always been a frontrunner in the promotion of English models, in recent years, the reigning queens of the modeling scene have mainly hailed from Northern and Eastern Europe–and fairly so. That was, however, until Elite Model Management launched their London division in 2008. Currently the biggest purveyor of girls from Great Britain in the world with about thirty British, Scottish and Irish faces, Elite London has established the new age of British girls in fashion.
